Designed By Allison is a custom upholstery design company.  We specialize in oversized cushions for both indoor and outdoor spaces.  Weather it is new cushions, or new covers for existing cushions, we can help you.  

We also make covers for pillows. We can create new pillows for both indoor and outdoor use or recover your existing pillows.  Customers have also brought us vintage fabrics to use in their work.   We ship all over the continental United States.

Here is an explanation of our process.  First, customers give us detailed measurements of every item included in the project.

Second, a materials list is created.  This may include: upholstery foam, zippers, and fabric.  Materials are charged at cost.

​

Third, sewing time is determined by two factors:

1  number and size of cushions

2 any add ons- ties, pipping, tufted buttons or special shapes.

​

Fourth, do the items need to be shipped?  Dimensional weight is the LxWxH plus weight.

​

Fifth, total is created. This is the materials plus the sewing time plus the shipping.

No personal checks

Half of the total cost is due upfront in order to buy materials.  Second half is due upon completion before the item will be handed to the customer or shipped.

Materials are sent to us.  We contact the customer with a receipt of payment of materials.  Once everything arrives, we contact the customer with a start date and an expected date of completion. 

​

Rushed projects add a 15% fee to the completed total.
